TO THE KIDS TEAM @ BETT.

Kids Team,
This team continues to blow my mind, there is no other Kids team that has this passion for each other and a mission to Invest in the Next Generation!

1. We had 5 teachers out that needed subs for this last weekend and ALL classes were covered! Thanks for getting subs for your classroom! Great Commitment!
2. I sent out an “emergency need” on Saturday and I we multiply people show up to help! Extra volunteers showing up to see if this shift was covered! Please tell me where you see this type of team work! Amazing!
3. We had another unexpected absence in one of our classes and a volunteer told me, “place me were ever you need me”. This is a single mom who is trying to model Christian behavior to her daughter. “Dear Single Mom, you are doing an incredible job! You are rockstar in my eyes!” Pastor Steve.
4. We had 4 crying babies in the nursery and two of our hub workers volunteered to help out. This type of flexibility is what this team is all about.
5. An extremely busy Executive Pastor volunteered his time to witness first hand what God is doing in the Kids Ministry at Heritage. This is what leadership is all about at Heritage, leading by example!

These are just things I saw but in every classroom and on the Hub there were people that sacrificed their time and energy for the Next Generation. You are called the Kids Ministry at Heritage and I praise God for you every week! You inspire me to be a better father, a better husband, a better Pastor and a better Jesus follower!

In the Kids Ministry we may not see the fruits of our labors very often, but we can join in celebration when fruit is produced. This last week at the Youth Camp (view video here) four teens gave their lives to Christ. What an incredible feeling to be part of a team that changes eternity. We are like the farmers that get the soil ready. We till up the dirt, we add some fertilizer and then we throw seed down and pray for a crop!
